Scholarship

Scholarship
In Fall 2004, TAPP members created a scholarship for San Antonio College future educators. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage students seeking careers as teachers and to recognize their commitment and achievements related to this goal.

As the result of numerous fundraising events, the group has been able to award two scholarships a year to qualifying candidates.

To apply, candidates must meet G.P.A. and
hours-earned requirements and must demonstrate commitment to their career choice through service to the community.

Past recipients include the following students:
John Perez, Samuel Peralez, Tabitha White, Teresa Flores, and Elizabeth Salazar, and Teresa Rodriguez

TAPP members are also informed of other scholarship opportunities (for education and non-education members) at the organizational meetings. Sponsors assist members in the application processes as needed.
