Community Service
TAPP members volunteer during the fall and spring campus Career Day, sharing information on the SAC Teaching Academy Learning Communities program, future educator scholarship opportunities, and career exploration.
Members also serve as volunteers at the annual spring SAC Book Fair, dressing up as popular children’s book characters, reading children’s books, or offering arts & crafts activities.
Members volunteer in local schools at academic pep rallies and competitions/events as needed.
During the fall semester, members sponsor a local family through San Antonio’s Any Baby Can adopt-a-family gift-giving program. With generous donations from the SAC community, members help make the holidays brighter for a family with a disabled child.
